Weep Not  [Back]

When the rain came
we danced in sunlight
spattered across your
countenance.

We cared not for human
frivolity
or dared not speak
of it.

Always
truth rang out
reverberating through
light and dark.

We are the dead
which walk in
twilight's warmth
but cannot hear her voice.

Raving until the
chords of angels
refuse us
voice.

Silence
now our only
echoing
effigy.
